Miner is a Job from the Backpackers group. Miners are ore experts that possess an uncanny ability to gather ores. Miners also have a skill that lets them refine ores as they're gathered. If you focus on improving your combat ability as a miner, you'll become quite good at fighting solo, although your power won't be comparable to the Warrior classes.

How to become a Miner

1. To get a job as Miner, you have to find and speak with the Miner Master in the Guild Palace at Acropolis City Uptown. The Miner Master is located on the 3rd floor.
2. The Miner Master will ask you to bring him 3 Iron Lumps.
3. You will need to hunt for a Metallic Stone, which drops from Iron Ore Rock, which can be found in any of the Acronia Fields.
4. Once you collect 3 Metallic Stones you will need to refine them into Iron Lumps. Take your Metallic Stones to a Weaponsmith and have him refine them. You will receive Iron Lumps.

   Note: Refining your Metallic Stones will cost 100G each.

5. Once you have 3 Iron Lumps return to the Miner Master and speak with him to give him the Iron Lumps.
6. He will then have you remove your clothes for the Miner mark (which you cannot see), then he will have you put your clothes back on to receive the Miner's Bandana and Miner's Furnace.

Upon completion the player will be awarded with the Miner job and receive the first Miner skill, Ore Knowledge.

When you equip the Miner's Bandana, you receive the skill Fireproof Shield, which increases your resistance to fire elements.
