Merchant is a job from the backpackers group that specializes in trading.

Merchants have many benefits for moving and trading items, such as cheaper storage fees and the ability to transfer items from one storage to another storage. They have bonuses built around increasing their weight and Capacity so they can carry more items. They do not need a Golem to open a shop since they can set up their own shop and they can keep the shop open even while moving or in battle. They can even buy cheaper and sell higher from NPCs.

In battle, Merchants have many useful tricks, such as buffs and debuffs. These skills can increase the attack power of their party, increase their own defense, or weaken enemies so they are more vulnerable against magical attacks.

Prerequisites

Steps To Become a Merchant

  1. Speak with the Merchant Master in the Guild Palace in uptown Acropolis City.
  2. The Merchant Master will ask you to deliver a Letter to the Senile Old Man at Acropolis City Downtown.
  3. Talk with the Senile Old Man, he will tell you that he forgot to bring his wallet and ask you to get it from his son. Talk to the Old Man's Child in Uptown to receive the Grandfather's Wallet.
  4. Bring the Grandfather's Wallet to the Senile Old Man and he will tell you that he forgot to bring his handkerchief, and will ask you to get it from his grandchild. Talk to the Old Man's Grandson in Downtown to receive the Grandfather's Handkerchief.
  5. Bring the Grandfather's Handkerchief to the Senile Old Man and he will tell you that he left his cane with his friend. Talk to the Old Man's Friend at Uptown to receive the Grandfather's Cane.
  6. Bring the Grandfather's Cane to the Senile Old Man and he will tell you he cannot see and need his glasses from Old Man's Subordinate in Downtown. Speak to Old Man's Subordinate to receive the Grandfather's Glasses.
  7. Bring the Grandfather's Glasses to the Senile Old Man and he will tell you that he has to get his favorite pants from his daughter in law. Talk to the Old Man Daughter-In-Law at Uptown to receive the Grandfather's Pants.
  8. Bring the Grandfather's Pants back to Senile Old Man. Then the Senile Old Man will mumble something which you cant understand.
  9. Speak to the Crybaby at Downtown and he will give you the Grandfather's Denture.
  10. Bring the Grandfather's Denture to the Senile Old Man, and he will accept the letter from the Merchant Master and give you the Merchant Master's Stamp.
  11. Return to the Merchant Master and give him the Merchant Master's Stamp.
  12. Once you complete the quest he will have you remove your clothes for the tattoo (which you cannot see), then he will have you put your clothes back on to receive the Tote Bag.
